Me and my colleagues checked out some statistics on Google Analytics to get some more info on who reads the blog. The data confirmed our guesses about the average reader, but it’s always fun to see age groups and if most traffic comes from phones or computers. I always adjust the layout of the posts to make them more reader-friendly from the phone and that’s not always the best layout for a computer screen. This collage shows the information we got from Google’s tool:

During 2015, 6,2 million unique readers visited the blog (gosh!). Most of you live in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Then comes England and the U.S, but those readers are (probably) Swedish. The majority are women (97%) and it would’ve been interesting to know how many of you that are parents, but Google Analytics could of course not provide us with that info. You’re between 25-34 years old and visit the blog about four times every week.

What do you say, do you fit the model? 🙂

Update: We’ve looked at numbers given by Google Analytics that accounts for both frequent- and new visitors.

When a new reader visits the blog a unique client-id is created. There’s of course a chance that the tool creates more than one client-id for the same user if this user tend to use different computers/phones or web browsers when visiting the blog. This can be worth noting when analyzing the numbers.
