Inga pekpinnar!

The cover for Baby boost is finished now, which means that the book will go to the press any day now! It takes ca 3-4 weeks at the press so there is a chance that I’ll get the book in time for my birthday in October. I wrote the book while I was on maternity leave and during a large part of the summer. I’ve laughed and I’ve cried while writing. The time before pregnancy (when you’re trying for a baby), the pregnancy and the first months as a mother are really special and I want to be there to support any of you who are going through it. There are loads of books that explain what happens to your body physically week by week but the emotional aspect is often forgotten. I write a lot about how my relationship to myself changed during those 40 weeks, but also the relationship with Odd, my best friends, my colleagues and my parents. So much gets turned on its head before the baby arrives and you need to vent. I hope that just as Egoboost was a book that you could turn to in tough moments, this book will offer the same support for those trying for and expecting a baby or in the first few months of parenthood.

If you want to read a book that tells you to eat a bowl of light popcorn when you really want a bag of dill chips, or to read about how superior breastfeeding is to formula or how many weeks you need to wait before you can leave the home alone in order to be a good mother, this is not the book for you. The last thing a mother to be or a new mother needs is more rules…
