Bok-bonanza

It’s all writing writing writing on the agenda today. It’s really fun even though the deadline is approaching and I can feel it in my stomach. But it’s going to be good, I can sense it. It won’t be a how to guide at all. There’s nothing about tips for pregnancy, breastfeeding, sleep etc. The book is more about the emotional journey of having kids. It’s funny too and will make you laugh.

[Excerpt]

Give each other spaceWhen I was stuck at home in the sofa breastfeeding every hour of the day I pretty much forced Odd out the house. ”Go have a beer with your friends. I’ll be fine”. Sometimes it happened that I would break down and called him to come home and he’d feel really awful. But I wanted him to be happy. Our relationship can only be better and never worse by the other one’s happiness.

If I’m going to be honest, it sucked being at home with leaking breasts and a pudgy stomach while he hung out at a bar. I kept imagining that young, hot girls who didn’t stink of soured milk came up and hit on Odd. But then I said –

Apart from writing, I’m looking forward to two things today:

1. LCC products come out at Kronans Apotek! Woho!

2. Going to the library with my maternity group for lunch. Odd’s going to work out so I’m going with Gillis. I’m so excited to got to the lib. Why? Well because I’d pretty much forgotten that I could borrow books. I’ve not had a library card in 11 years. It might sound douchy but I’ve been so absorbed by ordering things online that I’ve not realized that you can borrow things for free (if that’s the case?). Gillis and I will hang out there so much when he’s a bit older. We’re going to devour every children’s book on the shelf.
